Here is a nice CD if you adore the female singer songwriter tradition that
started out in the late 60's and developed in the 70's with artists like
Joni Mitchell and Carole King. The sound is very much the traditional way of
being with a folk-touch, and Melissa's voice is solid and driven. Fifth out
"Table For Two" is a very beautiful tune with a lot of Mary Chapin
Carpenter-vibes and "Smoke And Mirrors" with a touch of Nashville is
a very
good tune that could have been on Lucinda Williams latest album. Take a
listen yourself at www.cdbaby.com where you also can purchase a copy, and I
recommend you to check her out if you like the names you just read about.
Melissa's latest CD will not change the world but is sure an hour of nice
"singer songwriter folk-pop". Well I have to tell you about the very
nice
track "Shade". It's a ballad that could have been on any Linda
Ronstadt
album from the late 70's. A VERY beautiful tune.
